Wishin and missin...

It's that time of year again. Hot, hot and hot!! I am starting to feel much better and would love to be out and about. However it is sooooo stinkin hot out! I usually love being outside however I literally don't even want to go outside even to get the mail. Just takes your breath away. I know it got hot at home, but this is a MUCH different heat. Imagine getting into your car as it has been sitting out in the sun all day. Ok now imagine that as just normal out side air! Ha now imagine getting into your car here!!! I need a remote starter so the car can cool!

When I was a kid we had a neighbor who had a pool. They always let us use the pool when they went to work. What a great deal for us! Kelly and I would either lay out, float or swim. Those are the days I miss. When we moved I didn't have a neighbor with a pool. So I went to Walmart and got a blow up kiddie pool. I'd just go sit in it on my days off. Definitely wasn't the same. Mom and dad made me fill it up with the water from the out building. This was well water. It was freezing cold and one day I went out and all the well water had 'settled'. Oh man it was nasty. I attempted to get in it a few more times and swash it all around but it didn't have a pump and the funk over took the pool. When we finally emptied it I then got the annoyed response from my folks because 'you killed our grass'. It came back the following year, no worries.

This time of year however when I was younger, we would go to Michigan and stay with our friends in St Joseph, MI. We would all pile into one house and hang out for a few days and celebrate the holiday weekend. I loved sitting around for hours playing cards and laughing into the middle of the night. One of my favorite things was sittin on the bluff watching the fireworks over lake Michigan. We will be up there in 3 weeks, but that's 3 weeks past the fireworks :(

This year we will be here in Alabama. I'm pretty bummed we won't be able to see any family. I think this is the first year in a long time we won't be with family on the 4th. Hopefully we can all enjoy the fireworks as our little family of 3. I'm excited to see Avery's response. She's either goin to love them or be terrified haha!!

Bye bye nasty meds!

I'm very excited! I went to the doctor today for my 4 week check up (almost 9 weeks now) and the doctor said I don't have to take the meds they had me on any more!! This is such a blessing because they made me VERY nauseous. Perhaps now I can feel like a mother to Avery again. Poor girl is taking it all so well. She just plays and keeps to herself. I think she understands mommy isn't up to par.

She has also been so good at the doctors. Today we waited for an hour to even go back to see the doctor. There is only so much attention a little one can handle in small spaces for an hour! Everyone there just loves her to death. And how can they not? She found a book on the table at the waiting area and she picked it up and then said "Bible!" I looked and sure enough it was a Gideon's bible. Ha smart kid. Guess we need to teach her proper translations!

I think Avery might have pink eye. Today she woke up with goop in her eye but I didn't think about it. As the day went on she had more of a pinky look to it. Hopefully she won't wake up with more tomorrow. Otherwise doctor here we come!!!

Long time no write...

I'm fully aware I've become a slacker with this. But since Brooke can start a blog and be good at it, I thought I'd do a post and she can see it during her random check!

This spring has flown by. Avery is now 16 months old and talking, walking/running and getting into everything! She is so fun at this age! We just watch her and all the funny things she does and just laugh all the time. I guess we love it so much we are having another!

That's right...I'm due Feb 1, 2012 with Moore baby #2! We probably won't find out what we are having until September but this is going to make for some interesting coming years! I've been super sick with this pregnancy and doing much is limited. I suppose this is why I've not done much esp on here. I'm going to try to keep up with this. Maybe there's an app for it. Ha I'll be better that way!

Long time...busy life

Wow, so it's been a busy fall/winter! I have meant to keep up with this thing, I just haven't. It's easier to slack! Avery is finally 1!!! She's become such a big girl. She is crawling all over the place and getting into a lot of stuff. She is almost about to walk and "cruises" around on everything. She got her first two bottom teeth back around the end of November and the beginning of December. She's a pretty active girl and LOVES food! She must be her daddy's girl!!

We've been keeping pretty busy and are gearing up for another trip to Indiana for Spring Break in March. Hopefully we can take some warm weather with us when we go!! It's late and I'll try to keep up on this thing!! Enjoy a few pictures!Watching James Spann our local weather man...she LOVES James Spann!

Sick baby = No fun for Mommy and Daddy!

Well we've hit our first sickness! Never fun. Last Sunday Avery sat next to a child in Bible class and the little girl was snotty and what not. I knew I should have moved her but I didn't. I didn't want to look like a crazy momma who was a germaphobe. So 2 days later...Aver ended up getting a temperature and a snotty nose. This sure didn't become a good thing. It's been over a week and she's slowly getting over it. I don't know what I would do with out the battery powered aspirator. I believe every parent should get one of these. Its a wonderful jack hammer type device that sucks snot from a baby's toes! Just wonderful!!

In happy news, mom and dad or should I say gpa and grandma are coming down for a short visit on Thursday night! They'll be here til Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to for them to see how big Avery has gotten! She's trying to sit up when she is laying down now. "Talking" much more and trying to put her hands and mouth on everything! It's hard to believe she'll be 6 months old on the 15th of this month! Time is flying by!!

Slacker....

Ok so I realized the other day it has been 4 count them 4 months since I've done anything on here! I've gotten on the computer but haven't had a major amount of time to actually type. I'm pretty sure Avery knows if I'm on here whether she's awake or asleep. Every time I get on here, she'll wake up and fuss or pitch a major fit. Gotta love a 5 month old! She getting soooo big! She giggled for the first time on her actual 5 month birthday and also found her toes...only with her mouth! She had been grabbing them by her hands only, but now we suck on them. Oh what will we do?! She also rolled over from her tummy to her back! It was more or less a giant fling when she was angry and arched herself. She is not a big fan of tummy time!

We were able to go back to Indy for the 4th of July. This was great! However, poor Avery doesn't know anyone there. Sadly its basically just the two of us during the day and 3 of us at night. She has gotten VERY clingy to mommy. Understandably since I'm all she's around. I wish we lived closer to town, it would be easier for us to spend time with friends so she could get to know people more. But all in all she did well in Indy and it was great to see everyone again.

July is almost over and it will be August before you know it! Nathan will be even busier at work and Avery will be getting into sooooo much more! We shall see!!

One Month!!!

I can't believe Avery is one month old today!!! This month has flown by. We will post pictures later of her 1st month photo...now it's time for a bath and night night. I'll post a real update when we get home from Indiana. Avery's first trip north!!!
